I found I had to re-read sections because I felt I missed something. There were twists and turns with several unexpected surprises. I found it well proofread and I can't remember any of the great standout typos that are I'll write my full review after digesting this one a few days. The last ¼ of the book was action packed with twists and turns. Dee is so much better than this, this is the author that keeps you on the edge of your seat and writes characters that feel so real you could meet them on the streets of Chicago, but now she's putting herself in the book, an idealized version of herself? The book explores the implications of outsourcing American manufacturing to developing worlds through the fictional case study of disk drives that the protagonist's company is manufacturing in an Asian country. It starred , , and. Instead, she is confronted by damning evidence and uncooperative witnesses at every turn.
Unfortunately, as the novel draws to an end, and with many questions still unanswered, the author out of desperation? She also has a habit of stringing people along. Their lives intersect when Ann arrives to pass a case off her desk and onto his. When the secrets from her past are threatened to be revealed, will Ann be able to trust Paul to protect her? Jilly Truitt is a young, ambitious criminal lawyer making a name for herself. There is one question you ought to be asking yourself right now. Why do I do it to myself!? And I liked the way Henderson made the heroine the writer of the O'Malley series. I still regard Dee as an exceptional writer she could never be faulted on that front but the character profiles and plot did not connect with me as a reader.
It's a schlocky thriller but fun to read. I mean, mature and stuff and handled well. Falcon was stalkerish and a little desperate to be with a woman he barely knows. My associate, Jeff Solosky, will contact Hildegard and look after the details. In fact, there were few surprises for me as that storyline twisted and turned its way to a conclusion. I struggled reading through it.
If I give away things then it might spoil it for you. It's neither normal nor desirable. I am completely not the intended audience. I love Dee Henderson but I just wasn't loving this one. Pages are intact and are not marred by notes or highlighting, but may contain a neat previous owner name. I say mostly since there were a couple trips to my bookshelf to double check parts of her other books as a sneaking suspension turned into a glorious reality. I understand you are competent, Miss Truitt.
I will certainly continue to read her books and to reread the favourites that are already in my collection. The attention to detail added the necessary drama to the mystery. Now excuse me while I go make a hat out of aluminum foil, because alien body snatchers is the only explanation for this book. Near Fine with no dust jacket. She seemed per I love Dee Henderson's books. From the gritty streets of Vancouver to the fateful halls of justice, Full Disclosure is a razor-sharp thriller that pulses with authenticity and intrigue. This author is better than this book, so very much better.
Paul isn't expecting to meet someone, the kind that goes on the personal side of the ledger, but Ann Silver has his attention. B I saw a movie once, where a tough police detective fell in love with a woman he had only seen in a painting, based on the words of her friends. In general I think because the book is set up so that both characters are trying to figure each other out during the whole time, that we learn about character habits only from them being talked about in character interactions and not seen in character interactions. The list of perpetrators is very short considering how the victim was killed, so a Sherlock Holmes is not required to solve the case. The spine may show signs of wear. It is rare to find this kind of honesty and generosity in a who is willing to give of himself upfront.
Was able to read with out watching out for bad language and so on. I decide to stare back. See the series where I interview more than one awesome female criminal defence lawyer based in Vancouver. I can let you my followers know that this book can be read with out worry. There is enough Canadian content to give it a wonderful flavour, though the Canadiana does not inculcate the reader at every page flip. As she sets to fight, the dark memories of her past of foster homes. McLachlin's protagonist, Jilly Truitt, is a smart-mouthed, no nonsense criminal defence lawyer who has a track record of zealous advocacy and solid wins.
Camryn Garrett: It was really important to me that there be a dark-skinned black girl on the cover. It will be available in hardback, paperback and e-book. His face is even featured, conventionally handsome. If you enjoy murder mysteries, you will definitely enjoy Full Disclosure. What would you want that reader to take away from your story? Very minimal wear and tear. Allowing herself to get close to Miles would be a gigantic risk. During a mediation, Tom discovers that when he called one of his colleagues, John Levin, about the problems with the drive, John's recorded the whole incident with Meredith.
It felt so cliche and predictable - not the twist I think they were going for. If she writes another I'll certainly read it. Full Disclosure is a stand alone book, but because of those references I felt lost in some parts of this book. In a bizarre assassination plot aimed at the two world leaders, the Russian premier is killed. The author was a Chief Justice of Canada and the first woman to hold that position.
Trussardi insists he is innocent, and Jilly's search for evidence in support of her client's claim leads her to uncover dark truths from his family's past, as well as her own. Jilly is a force to reckon with. I wanted to create a really confident, young woman who knew exactly what she wanted, especially regarding sex. Marriage is not some little thing that happens, it is a major commitment, it is two people becoming one! The novel also lacked verisimilitude. Do you think this sets a bad example for teenagers? That is so very selfish!! I love the chemistry they have and how they work together to solve murders around New York City.
