My tractor is hard to turn. These diagrams are an attempt to provide something for the tractors built from 1957 to 1962. High amps lose watts in the cables due to resistance, copper wires helps, but, low voltage systems still heat the cables. Many of those were later converted to the 8N type generator and voltage regulator, so this walk-through will work for many of those also. Thus the reason for using a diode that is basically an electrical one-way check-valve. Your 6 volt soliniod will work just fine, shoot believe it or not there is no such thing as a 12 volt or 6 volt soliniod. Hope it can be of help to someone.
